Fargo Davies Sr. Guard Kretchman Commits To MSUM

Fargo Davies senior Tanner Kretchman has committed to play his college basketball at Minnesota State Moorhead. Forum Preps Sports Blog’s Chris Murphy got confirmation from Fargo Davies head boys basketball coach Bart Manson on Monday.

This is a solid pickup for the Dragons. Kretchman averaged 24.2 points per game last season and Helped Davies to a third-place finish at the Class A state tournament.

Kretchman scored 606 points, which was second behind Fargo Shanley’s A.J. Jacobson for most in the state last season. Kretchman also led the Eastern Dakota Conference in 3-point field goal percentage (47.3%) making 86 of 182 of his attempts from beyond the arc. He was named to the All-state first team and All-EDC team.

He scored 38 points in a 83-69 victory over Valley City on Feb. 2, which set a new single-game scoring record at Davies.
