Fargo Davies travels to Grafton-Park River for an East Region hockey matchup with the puck dropping at 7:30 p.m. … It’s still early, but don’t count on either the Eagles or the Spoilers to be tentative in this game. … The Spoilers (4-0-1, 2-0-0 East Region) have won three straight. … Sophomore forward Levi Cudmore leads Grafton-Park River with six points (five goals, one assist). … Davies (4-0-0, 3-0-0) has had a week off to prepare for this game and should be fresh. … The Eagles are coming off a 5-2 win over Fargo North in which their top line accounted for four of the five goals. … Senior forward Bryan Pallen and junior forward Aidan Hartness each have nine points and lead the East Region in scoring. … Bismarck currently sits atop the West Region standings with a 5-0-0 overall record and a 3-0-0 conference mark. … Bismarck Century fell 2-0 over Minot last Thursday. … The Magicians have won three straight and are climbing the standings after opening the season with back-to-back losses to Davies and Grand Forks Central. … Century junior forward Keaton Leininger remains the state’s leading scorer with 16 points (eight goals, eight assists).

GIRLS

Sam Miller, a senior from Williston, holds the state scoring lead with 13 points (five goals, eight assists). … West Fargo freshman forward Janey Sandoval is tied for second on the state’s scoring leaderboard with 12 points (five goals, seven assists). … Bismarck is in first place in the state standings with a 4-0-0 record … The defending state champions Blizzard are allowing 0.5 goals per game and have been scoring an average of 6.5 goals per game. … Senior Erin Clayburgh and sophomore Kennedy Blair are Bismarck’s two goaltenders. … Both have played two games this season with Clayburgh posting two shutouts and 21 saves. … Blair (39 saves) started in net during last season’s state championship game for the Blizzard.
